Peter Robb - Artistic Director / Resident Composer

Co-founder and artistic director of Pacific International Choral Festivals, Peter Robb’s collaborations with Henry Leck, Sandra Snow, Bob Chilcott, Andrea Ramsey, Lynne Gackle, Moira Smiley and many more resulted in twenty-six years of extraordinary music making and community building for over 7000 participants in 207 youth choirs from 40 states and provinces in six countries.

Peter has directed choirs and taught in elementary, middle, high school and university settings in addition to working with civic and professional choruses in his thirty-three years as a choral director. For thirteen years, Peter led Oregon Festival Choirs, often preparing treble choirs for the Oregon Bach Festival and other professional performing arts organizations, including work with conductors Helmuth Rilling and Marin Alsop. He continues to prepare choirs for major performances and is active as a clinician and guest conductor.

Peter’s choral compositions and arrangements are published with Hal Leonard and Colla Voce Music, and Peter Robb Music (available on MusicSpoke.com). His Missa Brevis No.1 has been performed in Carnegie Hall, Canterbury Cathedral, London’s Southwark Cathedral, Leipzig’s Thomaskirche, and by the National Children’s Honor Choir at the American Choral Directors Association National Conference.
