After 19 seasons in which we have welcomed 166 choirs from 36 states and provinces on four continents, for a total of over 6000 participants, we are delighted to be preparing for our 20th Anniversary in 2017.
We begin the season with our Treble Choral Festival (June 27 – July 3), open to boychoirs, girlchoirs, children’s choirs, treble youth choirs and young women’s choirs. We are honored to have Henry Leck return as guest conductor. His inspiring leadership as a conductor and teacher in North America and around the world has had a profound impact on singers, teachers, conductors, audiences and the next generation of choral leaders. In addition, as an editor for Hal Leonard Publishing and Colla Voce Music, he has introduced the music of 100+ composers and arrangers to choirs around the globe. If you’ve never had the privilege of working with Maestro Leck, don’t miss this opportunity. If you have, you’re probably already thinking about submitting an application!
The celebration continues with our second Boys & Young Men’s Choral Festival (July 10-16), under the masterful direction of Fernando Malvar-Ruiz. This event is open to treble boychoirs, young men’s choirs and SATB boys & young men’s choirs. Malvar-Ruiz is conductor of the renowned American Boychoir of Princeton, New Jersey and is in constant demand as a guest conductor for honor choirs and festivals throughout the world. He recently added film credits to his resumé as both a cast member and soundtrack conductor on the movie Boychoir, featuring A-list actors, including Dustin Hoffman, Kathy Bates, Eddie Izzard, Kevin McHale and Debra Winger. His artistry and vision are sure to establish this biennial event as the destination of choice for touring boychoir organizations.
Apply early for this milestone season and join the celebration!
